I have lost interest twice now
I lost interest and didn't play most of the summer.
I am again loosing interest. This past week. i logon and play for about 45 mintues get bored the log out. I am not sure what it is but the whole game just seems redundant if I play for a few months.
Right now since I am bored I logon and sit around doing nothing and drink drawven ale (working towards my drunk title) I am too bored to actually play.

I don't feel like beating Nightfall. In fact, i only beat Nightfall when it's necessary to do so! Until than, i'll try and finish all my characters first than focus on Nightfall.

Some people just overexert themselves in the game and need to step back for a bit before total meltdown. Some people force themselves through the game but never figure out if the game was right for them. And a set few just want to complain. So they find any excuse to grief in threads that put down the game.
Regardless, I haven't enjoyed Guild Wars this much since the first time I played Prophecies.

I started losing interest 1 month before GWNF was released and started playing some Battlefield 2. NF has erased my doubts and has renewed my faith in Anerf. Its a great game. Alot better than Tyria and Cantha. My only complaint is that Istan is worse than Shing Jea (Which IMO is better than Pre-Searing)............

To me, the people who feel tired of Guild Wars, have played too much, or in the group of people, who play a game, buy a new game, probably not even a MMO type. I'm not gonna lie, I'm one of those people. Lets re-cap. August. Playing Guild Wars Factions, then I was just waiting for Nightfall, got tired of waiting, so to take my mind off it, I got Company Of Heroes, an RTS style game about ww2. But, I wasn't tired of Guild Wars, all the anticipation for Nightfall, got to me, making me feel like the current things I was doing in Guild Wars wasn't good enough. I also was running out of money in GW!(solved that buy finding a scythe and sword in Nightfall, sold for 80 k each, now I'm doing better.) I also left a month and a half before factions came out,and came back the day factions started. I believe that I get overly excited, and it tires me out, not the game.
So that's me. But for the people who also leave the game and comeback. I don't believe you ever got Tired of the game, I believe you overly excited yourself. Believe me your not the only one. If you feel lonely in Cantha, Get a Good Fun relaxed Guild, who has vent or Ts. Other guilds just seem to fall apart. I currently don't have a good guild. But I got a Best friend I've none all my life, on vent and we dual heroes.
Thats my 2 cents =)

i have grown a bit tired of Gw, but for different reasons that the OP.
for me the addition of heroes, insignias, and the salvage system have turned me off.
let me say that these additions are great and add depth to the game. but for me personally it has become too much to keep track of.
to some degree you have to outfit and choose skills for heroes. you have to get them skills and upgrade their armor. then there are all the salvage options and new ways to configure armor and weapons.
gw has moved away from a casual game and become too in depth for the amount of time i have alotted to play games. i will either hang out in tyria or cantha or at the worst look for a simpler game to play.

I've heard this before, people saying 'Man, Gw's is boring etc etc' Which, I have no problem with. After all, everyone has an opinon.
But, what I find is best is to not just play one, single game. But, play different ones..and even on different consoles (if you really want to).
Like, I play GW's City of Villians, Oblivion (on the 360). And I'm restarting WoW.
And btw, your not the onyl one who got bored with GW's...after Prophecies/Factions, with everything done, I got..well....bored! lol But NF rekindeled my intrest in GW's and I'm loving it!
Anyway, that's my little rant
Dark.

I disagree with you. If anything, Nightfall has made things simpler. By giving you control over your heroes (whom you have ZERO incentive to equip or even spend money upgrading), it puts less reliance on group finding mechanics and puts all that control into your hands. With the addition of insignias, you are less reliant on fickle market prices and makes high quality weapons easily accesable to everyone.

I play both WoW and GW, so when I get bored of one I play the other. The only downside is having to be on so guilds wont boot you. If I had not gotten WoW I would be playing GW a lot more, but be a lot more bored also.

You kind of feel compelled to see the differences in storyline when you take a character from one chapter to the next; and I want to have my Prophecies character play all the campaigns, my Factions her campaign and the subsequent ones, etc. - I think that may do for replayability but at some point it will probably get out of hand; so for now I'm just going to try and beat each chapter with a character from that chapter!

I got Factions about a week after its release. Still haven't played enough of it to get even 1 character past the first mission on the mainland. Been spending time trying to get a character thru all of Prophesies first.
Right now, the only reason for me to get NF would be for the Heros. From what I am reading on Guru, the Heros will be all I need to beat missions and quests. Finding a group that would work together has been the biggest problem in Proph. People bringing their 3rd or 4th character thru saying "do it this way" another in the group "No. do it this way." People die and quit. That will end with heros. Or so I read.

If you have lost interest, you shouldn't be here whining, PLEASE go play another game. If you don't have time to play, it's your problem not ours. You are just having a pitty party because you can't get your toons thru one game yet you see others that have beat all 3. You have already missed the point of playing the game in the first place, to have fun....so play the game as you can and enjoy it or or just hit [Start]> Programs> Accessories> Games> Solitare....maybe that's more your speed.

Far from being bored I find myself with so much to do I sometimes don;t know where to start. One thing I've done is limit myself to playing 3-4 characters out of the 10 or so I have. I'll probably make a rit/sin to unlock more of those skills while playing with my son in his shiny new Factions campaign (his request for that one)
Right now I'm playing a Dervish thru NF with my GF and when I have time to myself playing my mesmer and necro thru at a slower pace in NF. Also still play my monk when I want to buff up my piggy bank.. Still make 4-6k/hr farming with her and it makes a nice change of pace.. Kind of relaxing taking out 50 or 60 hydras a run when I don;t wanna go questing...lol
Probably get my son and daugher both a copy of NF for xmas so we can all play as a family together. Plus three guys at my job just started playing, so there is lots to do and never a dull moment

I'm thinking this will be my last GW purchase...there is only so much you can do with a fantasy MMO before it starts becoming like the rest...GW is getting to that point.
Hopefully EVE2 is in the pipeline or I'll be playing online with my PS3 when/if it arrives.

The absolute best thing about GW is something a few others have touched on... the fact that you're perfectly free to put the game away for as long as you want to, guilt-free. Monthly-fee-based MMOs have a constant pressure to play them, since you pay regardless.
So, for those of you feeling like you're not having fun anymore with the game... by all means, put it away for a while. Play something else! Later, you can come back and enjoy GW all over again.
